Marsha, an attractive young woman in her twenties, had significant over-production of melanin in her gingival tissues on both the upper and lower (maxillary and mandibular) jaws. The density was very pronounced, as can be seen in the adjacent picture.

Like many of our other patients (Kera), Marsha has a keen understanding of her attractive qualities and strives to look as good as she feels.

When Marsha first came to our office she told us of how aware she was of her dark gum condition... and how much she hated it. Her goal was to have all of the gum tissue treated with the depigmentation procedure to the extent that there would be no residual evidence of excess melanin deposits.

Full Mouth Depigmentation Makeover

Marsha's pigmentation issues didn't involve the more common, distracting effects of spotty pink gums that can have eye catching qualities that are not attractive.

Pigmentation was dense throughout nearly all of the gingiva. Since Dr. Bram's use of the Opus Dent laser is not exceedingly uncomfortable, he was able to treat all affected tissue in the upper and lower jaws in one treatment session.

I have always been interested in doing a procedure to lighten my gums. My gums were very dark and I hated them but had no clue what to do to change it, until I met Dr. Bram. I had the laser gum depigmentation done to bothmmy upper and lower arch. The procedure was painless. Following the procedure I experienced a slight tingle when caring for my gums.
